Önemli noktalar
- In weather sentences we use the word 'it'; a person word never comes here.
- 'Sunny' is sunny, 'rainy' is rainy, 'snowy' is snowy; all three end with y.
- We say the temperature with 'degrees': It is 30 degrees.
- Rain and snow have their own verbs: It is raining, it is snowing.
- 'Cold' and 'cool' are not the same: cold is very low, cool is a little low.
- We use the question 'What is the weather like?' when we ask about the weather.

- It is + weather word. It is sunny today.
- It is + number + degrees. It is 20 degrees.
- It is raining / It is snowing / It is windy.
- What is the weather like? It is cloudy.
- The weather is nice today.
- In summer it is hot, in winter it is cold.
Sık yapılan hatalar
- Kişi zamiri kullanmak: Hava durumunda 'he' ya da 'she' değil 'it' kullanılır. 'It is sunny' denir, 'He is sunny' denmez. 'Today' gibi zaman ifadeleri cümlenin sonuna gelir.
- Sıcaklığı derece olmadan söylemek: Sıcaklık sayıyla birlikte 'degrees' kelimesi kullanılarak verilir: 'It is 25 degrees.' Sadece 'It is 25' denmez.
- 'Snowing' ile 'snowy' kelimesini karıştırmak: 'It is snowing' yağışı anlatır, 'It is snowy' ise kar durumunu anlatır. İkisi aynı anlamda değildir.
- Bulutlu için 'cloud' yazmak: Hava durumu sıfatı 'cloudy' olur ve y ile biter: 'It is cloudy today.' 'It is cloud' yanlış bir kullanımdır.
- Sıcaklık sıfatlarını karıştırmak: 'Hot' çok sıcak, 'warm' ılık, 'cool' serin, 'cold' soğuk demektir. Bu dört sıfat birbirinin yerine kullanılamaz.

- Her sabah pencereye bakıp iki cümle kur: 'It is sunny. It is 15 degrees.' Böylece kalıp yerleşir.
- Hava durumu kelimelerini resim kartlarıyla eşleştir, görsel kelimeyi kalıcı olarak hatırlatır.
- Sıcaklık birimini hece hece yaz: de-grees biçiminde okunur ve yazılır.
