• would + V1: yalnız tekrar eden geçmiş eylemleri anlatır, hâl fiilleriyle kullanılmaz.

Sık yapılan hatalar

• Using 'would' for states: Say 'I used to have' not 'I would have'.
• Writing 'didn't used to': After didn't, write 'use to'.
• Adding -s after used to: He used to plays (wrong) → He used to play.
• Would ile hâl bildiren fiilleri kullanmak: I would like that my old house gibi bir yapı geçmiş alışkanlık anlatmaz; like, know, live ve believe gibi fiiller yalnızca used to ile kullanılır.
• Get used to arkasına V1 getirmek: Doğru yapı get used to V-ing ya da get used to isimdir; I get used to wake up early yanlıştır, I get used to waking up early doğrudur.

• Use 'used to' for both habits and states.
• Use 'would' only for repeated actions in the past.
• Remember the negative: didn't use to.
• Boşluk doldurmada önce zaman ifadesini işaretle, sonra fiilin hâl mi eylem mi olduğunu sor.
